With this setting, your customers will be immediately informed about the issued invoice, which you can also attach as a PDF file.

1. Open the Fakturoid | Integration app and navigate to the Invoicing Rules page. At the bottom of the Other Invoicing Settings section, enable the Send Fakturoid invoice emails option.
Remember to save your changes.

2. Log in to Fakturoid.cz and select the Emails category in the settings panel.

3. In the SENDING section, click the Edit button.

4. Here, choose the desired options – for example, you can opt to send the invoice as a PDF attachment. Save your changes.

5. In the Templates section, click on New Invoice and modify the content of the message. For each language variant, you can set up custom template content. For details on how languages work for invoices, refer to the guide.

The email that the customer receives could look like this:

If you also want to add a link to the invoice in the order confirmation email sent via Shopify, we recommend reading this guide.

Invoice email not arriving?

If the invoice email didn't reach your customer, check the inbox you have set up in the app — an error notification may have arrived there explaining why the invoice wasn't issued and the email wasn't sent.

A common cause is the following error from Fakturoid:

lines.vat_rate: has to be 0

This means Fakturoid is not expecting VAT on the invoice, but Shopify is sending it because VAT is enabled somewhere in your settings. To fix this, review your VAT settings in Shopify and make sure they match your Fakturoid account configuration. Check this guide for help.
