If you want to sell in multiple markets, a multilingual store is essential. Shopify offers a free app called Translate & Adapt to translate your store, and Gift Box integrates seamlessly with this app to enhance your Shopify experience.

Translating Gift Box is straightforward. If you haven’t installed the Translate & Adapt app yet, we encourage you to do so.

Manage translations

In the Settings section of Gift Box, you can customize strings related to the pop-up for your default store language.

Texts related to specific gift offers can be edited within the respective offer’s configuration.

To translate these strings into multiple languages, click on the Translations button, and you’ll be able to translate your strings. You can do it two ways:

  • Auto-translations: Automatically run translations of texts.

  • Manual translations: Translate your strings manually. This flexibility allows you to show different texts based on the language or market.

💡 Automatic translations are provided by the Google Cloud Translation API. Shopify provides automatic translations for two languages only.
